Join Our Team

Bakery & Operations

Our Daily Bakers and Creators are the heart of our organisation. Located in our bakeries and operating sites, you will be responsible for creating our high-quality products every day, through roles like production operators, maintenance fitters, electricians, and warehouse operations.

Sales & Merchandising

Our Baking Ambassadors help ensure our delicious fresh breads and bakery snacks make their way to your local retailer every day. Our sales and merchandising roles are critical in partnering with our valued customers, like major supermarket operations and food outlets, to deliver the best value and quality to our consumers.

Head Office & Corporate

Our Leaders and Enablers provide critical support for our bakery operations and sales functions. These roles include functions such as Marketing & Innovation, Finance, People & Performance, Safety, Quality, Procurement and Supply Chain. Our people are empowered to work autonomously, enabled with the support they need from our leaders.

Wellbeing Focus

At Tip Top Bakeries, we believe nothing is more important than our health, wellbeing and safety. At the heart of this is our Employee Assistance Program through TELUS Health which is available to support our employees 24/7. We also provide access to a wide range of wellness-based services including physiotherapy services, health assessments, strength building programs, as well as extensive risk reduction and wellbeing resources to help you take the best possible care of yourself – before, during and after work hours.

Flexible Work

Work is a big part of life, but we know there are other parts too. We offer flexible working arrangements to help you balance your Tip Top Bakeries career with personal commitments such as family, study and community involvement. This includes hybrid work locations, part-time work, job sharing, flexible working hours, telecommuting, extended unpaid leave and ‘purchased’ additional leave.

Parental Support

Tip Top Bakeries is proud to be a family-friendly business. We know raising a family can place added demands on parents and carers, so we’ve enhanced our policies to assist families and support your career and your life. This includes:

  • 12 weeks of paid leave for primary carers and 2 weeks of paid leave for partner carers.
  • We pay the employer contribution to Superannuation/Kiwisaver during unpaid parental leave for up to 40 weeks.
  • To ease the transition back to work after a period of parental leave as the primary carer, we offer one paid day off work each week for the first 12 weeks.
  • New parents will be able to attend a First Aid for Families course to learn vital lifesaving skills to provide first aid to babies and children.

Our Recruitment Process

Advertise & Screen

Tip Top Bakeries roles are always advertised across multiple platforms. If your application meets the criteria, our Talent Acquisition team will get in touch for an initial interview over the phone.

Interviews

We want to get to know you and give you the opportunity to meet some of our leaders. Depending on the role, this may be face-to-face or virtual interviews, ‘walk and talk’ site tours or even a combination of both.

Employment Checks

We’ll typically conduct two reference checks, as well as other things as required like medicals, background and qualification checks, depending on the role.

Offer

You’ll receive a verbal offer from our Talent Acquisition team, followed by a written contract shortly after.
